Wembley Park London

Europe's first bus and car parking garage in the heart of Wembley Park, London

Modern, functional, unique

In the heart of Wembley Park rises the Wembley PINK Coach and Parking Garage, Europe’s largest steel bus and car parking garage, redefining parking space design. Developed by Quintain and Huber Parking in collaboration with British civil engineer O’Keefe and implemented in just 18 months, this project embodies innovative construction and functional style.

With 290 bus and 734 car parking spaces on a total of seven levels, the parking garage offers space for a maximum of 16,500 visitors. In addition to its function for the nearby Wembley Stadium, it also serves as a parking space for the SSE Arena and the surrounding Wembley Park.

Only from a bird's eye view do you realise how huge the entire complex is: the car park stands on top of the bus park and other parts of the building.

The pink of the road markings gives the car park its name: Wembley PINK bus and car park.

"We are very proud to be able to bring forward such a unique and innovative project at Wembley Park. Working closely with Huber, who has an excellent track record of delivering large scale parking solutions, we very much look forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to Europe’s first multi-story coach parking complex."

Ingenious and safe.

The car park is a prime example of safety and engineering. Potter Church & Holmes, the London architects behind the project, have worked with Huber Parking to create a structure that is not only efficient and innovative, but also an aesthetic highlight.

Therefore, it is no surprise that this project was awarded two British Parking Awards 2020 – for outstanding engineering achievements and artistic wayfinding and graphic design.

"The Wembley PINK Coach and Car Park is an example of how innovative design and advanced technology come together to enrich the urban landscape while meeting the needs of the community."

Digital Infrastructure?

Function meets art.

The sophisticated, digital wayfinding system, which works with digital signage, public address system, and ANPR technology, enables quick and efficient access and parking space search. Vehicles are recorded upon entry according to their length and size and directed to free spaces. A barrier-free entrance and exit as well as an app-based payment option characterise the car park as future-oriented.

The visual design of the car park contributes to its unique identity. The car park decks have been given a vibrant pink colour and four of the ten stairwells are decorated with impressive, pink-coloured light art.

The award-winning facade installation was inspired by Olympic pictograms and famous Wembley performances.
