Staff Car Park

Mobility hub of Stadtwerke Stuttgart

Pioneering multi-storey car park

Completed in November 2023, the mobility hub at the new headquarters of Stadtwerke Stuttgart in Stuttgart-Wangen is a prime example of modern and sustainable urban development. Developed and implemented by Huber Parking, the mobility hub combines a variety of mobility solutions under one roof: in addition to parking spaces for cars including charging facilities for electric cars, it also houses a sharing area for e-scooters and e-bikes as well as around 100 bicycle parking spaces.

Lockers provide charging facilities for 50 removable e-bike batteries, while e-bikes with fixed batteries can be charged via a charging channel. With a footprint of 71 x 21 metres and spread over five levels, the multi-storey car park offers a future-oriented solution for the various mobility needs in an urban environment.

Functionality and energy efficiency.

The car park’s architecture is characterised by its sustainability. The greenery and 554 solar panels installed on the roof and façade contribute to sustainable energy generation and urban microclimate improvement, demonstrating that car parks can be more than just functional buildings. Technological progress and environmental awareness go hand in hand. Each of the 208 parking spaces will be fully equipped with wall boxes for electric cars, making the car park an important hub for electric mobility. The open façade and motion-activated LED lighting create a light-flooded structure that minimises energy consumption and maximises safety.

Tomorrow today

Stadtwerke Stuttgart’s mobility hub is an example of how progressive, sustainable and user-friendly car parks can be designed. It is a testament to forward-thinking construction and contributes to the development of a greener and more sustainable future.
