Delivered as a turnkey design-and-build project, the car park provides 389 standard bays, 21 disabled spaces and 18 bicycle bays. The decks are clad externally with galvanized linear mesh, while the stair cores feature fire-rated composite panels. An intelligent LED system ensures energy-efficient lighting. On the east elevation, a green wall system with integrated bird houses enhances the ecological value.
Two spacious staircases and two 10-person lifts provide access to all levels. The decks are colour-coded – both walls and pedestrian walkways – with colours chosen through a public survey. This long-awaited facility was completed in record time and has been warmly welcomed by both the local community and hospital visitors.
