"What impressed me most was the fact that I was encouraged from the start and was able to contribute my own ideas. Whether you're a student or a manager, everyone's opinion counts."

What is particularly important to me...

…to have clear goals in mind and to pursue them with determination.

My free time…

…is spent climbing and cycling in the countryside.

If Huber Parking were an animal it would be ...

...a dog - loyal, dependable and always at the side of its clients and employees. Just like a dog, the company stands for consistency and reliability in every situation.

Career.

"A short internship lead to a real career - step by step"

Merle Kurz is an example of how a career can develop at Huber Parking. Her first contact with the company was back in 2015 when she completed a six-week internship. At the time, it was a way to find some kind of direction between finishing grammar school and starting university. What started out as a first experience in the construction industry quickly turned into a long-term opportunity.

While still at uni she started working for Huber Parking as a working student gaining insight into various departments. She was particularly fascinated by the variety of projects and the opportunity to actively contribute to finding solutions.

Merle remembers her first weeks as a working student well: "I thought car parks were boring. But as I got more involved, I realised that every project was a new challenge - from design to engineering."

After her internship in England she returned to her home base in Rheinbrohl and started working in production planning. In 2021 she took on the role of Design Manager. Her career at Huber Parking has continued to progress and she is now Head of Innovation and Processes – a role in which she passionately promotes new ideas.

“The friendly and open way of dealing with each other is what makes Huber Parking so special. Attention is paid not only to our professional development, but also to our well-being.”

Besides the professional development, it was the company culture that won her over.

If Merle had to compare Huber Parking to an animal, it would be a dog: loyal, reliable and always on the move. In her spare time she finds balance in nature, whether it be climbing or cycling. But one thing is for sure: there is no standing still for her, neither at home nor in her career.
