Barrier-free and contactless employee parking

At the medius KLINIKEN site in Kirchheim u.T., Huber Parking built another multi-storey car park for the car park investor and operator AmbiPark. A special feature is the integrated, technically modern emergency doctor’s station of the German Red Cross with an area of 133 m². It offers space for a DRK vehicle, lounges and bedrooms, as well as sanitary facilities and storage space. Thanks to its convenient location on Eugenstrasse, emergency vehicles have fast access to the busy Stuttgarter Strasse.

Following the relocation of the psychiatric clinic from Nürtingen to Kirchheim and the demolition of older buildings, Huber Parking was commissioned to design an attractive parking solution with 166 parking spaces on six mezzanine levels. This reduced the parking pressure in the neighbouring residential area and significantly enhanced the original car park. The multi-storey car park is used exclusively by the hospital’s staff. This means that more visitor parking spaces close to the hospital are now available.

User-friendliness played a key role in the design. The stylish glass front of the stairwell is welcoming and two roller shutters offer night-time security. Autopay’s barrier-free and ticketless parking management technology guarantees convenient, cashless parking for a limited number of users.

A green soundproof façade was installed to reduce noise emissions towards the residential neighbourhood. Three other façades are attractively designed with Flexbrick, whereby large frame elements and the adaptation to the logo colours of the medius KLINIKEN provide visual highlights. The parking space markings also reflect this colour scheme.
