The Huber Parking-Concept
The MSCP was built in split-level construction with special features: a staggered building height and an extended ground floor level that allows the passage of small vans. To enhance the overall appearance, only part of the car park was raised with two additional levels. The facility was realized in hot-dip galvanized steel-frame construction. The flooring system consists of additive liner sheets with in-situ concrete, delivered and installed just-in-time. The two lower levels are finished with high-quality, coloured interlocking paving stones.
Short ramps provide one-way access to the parking levels. Pedestrian walkways, staircases and doors are highlighted in yellow, reflecting the client’s corporate identity as already implemented in Dunstable. Both staircases comply with Technical Standards for fire exits and are equipped with handrails on both sides. At ground level, multiple turnstiles connect the car park to the office building, serving simultaneously as access control.
Attractive Design
The open-slat façade, a Huber Parking product, is both air- and light-permeable. It harmonises with the coloured cassette elements of the staircases and enhances the high-quality character of the car park. The LED illumination system with Huber Parking lamps is state-of-the-art and offers significant potential for energy savings.
