“It’s been a very successful exercise in collaborative working. We spent a year in pre-construction with Stansted examining the right model to procure and build this scheme, choosing a system approach from HUBER PARKING.”

Huber Parking’s Managing Director, Tomer Meirom, highlighted the excellent cooperation with the main contractor and the client. He proudly reflects on the successful completion of the project.

More than half of Stansted Airport’s 28 million annual passengers travel by public transport. For those arriving by car, the new facilities now provide convenient parking solutions tailored to every budget.

Four lifts serve all parking levels, including one designed as a dedicated firefighting lift. Spiral ramps enable rapid traffic circulation and minimise driving distances inside the building, reducing CO emissions. A parking guidance system provides clear orientation by indicating available spaces on each level.

Coloured markings on sidewalks and in stairwells make it easy for users to distinguish between the different levels and improve orientation throughout the building. Due to the large floor area, all parking rows are also clearly labelled.
